Cahill Family Foundation

The Cahill Family Foundation is committed to promoting healthy families and communities across Newfoundland & Labrador. The Foundation supports educational, health care, social service, and recreational programs with a youth focus to help families pursue their dreams. Since 2020, The Cahill Foundation has supported our local agency with funding to address the rising waitlist with a need to decrease wait times and support additional match relationships.

Cal LeGrow Foundation

The Cal LeGrow Charitable Youth Foundation’s mission is to give back to the community they serve by funding and supporting opportunities that inspire and impact youth. They provide resources that effect the reduction of barriers our province’s youth face in reaching their full potential. We are grateful for their support of our new PRISM Mentoring program that launched in Spring 2024.

Cenovus Energy

In response to the shortage of youth entering STEM programs or pursuing STEM careers, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada (BBBSC) is partnering with Cenovus Energy to stimulate and increase youth motivation to pursue post-secondary and career opportunities, focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. With this partnership, Cenovus Energy will deliver on their social investment goals; particularly with creating Future-Ready Youth. By helping young people prepare for their futures, Cenovus’ BIG on STEM program demystifies post-secondary STEM options and casually, and in 2024 will intentionally connect over 200 BBBS youth to STEM networks and professionals across Canada each year! We are pleased to be a flagship agency partner for 2024.

Government of Newfoundland & Labrador

Over the years, the province of Newfoundland & Labrador has provided financial support for various programs and initiatives here at Big Brothers Big Sisters. We deeply appreciate government’s contribution to our mission of empowering youth through mentorship and this partnership has played an important role in helping us make a difference in the lives of young people here in our community. As we look to the future, we are hopeful for sustained support from and collaboration with government to ensure every young person seeking support has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

Joyce Family Foundation

The Joyce Family Foundation is dedicated to supporting the social, economic and emotional well-being of children and youth by empowering them to develop into healthy, confident, independent contributors to Canadian society. With a primary focus to provide access to education for children and youth with significant financial need or facing other socio-economic barriers to success, we are extremely grateful for a partnership of more than 10 years to support both school and community 1:1 developmental relationships.

McCall MacBain Foundation

The McCall MacBain Foundation’s investment supports the Enhancing Access to Mentorship Initiative, a two-year project enabling our agency plus 8 other BBBS agencies to address the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on youth mental health and wellbeing by enhancing their programming and supports. The Initiative examines the underlying organizational, community, and structural causes of waitlists for BBBS programming, and aims to reduce those waitlist times and improve supports with a particular focus on under-served youth.

KPMG

The KPMG Impact is about channeling their collective experience, skills and energy to help drive positive social change and enable  communities to thrive. As the Presenting sponsor of the ‘Go Girls Golf Tournament’ for more than 5 years as well as other local initiatives like Bowl for Kids Sake, MEGABike and more, we are deeply grateful for their belief in the work we do for local youth.

As volunteers, they play a huge part in our Bowl for Kids Sake fundraising efforts. Big thanks to our friends at North Atlantic for their continued support.

NAPE

Uniting of 28,000 union workers, The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE) is the largest union in the province and is the recognized bargaining agent for over 28,000 public and private sector employees. A new supporter of BBBSEN, we appreciate their generous support of the 75 Doors campaign where they opened 10 doors for young people on the waitlist.
