Go Girls Golf Tournament

Wednesday, August 24, 2022 – CLOVELLY

The 9th annual “Go Girls Golf Tournament”   is happening on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Clovelly. This Women’s only Tournament isn’t about being a good golfer… it’s about having a good time while raising money to support girls and those who identify as female through our “Go Girls! Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds” mentoring program.

What is Go Girls! Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds?

Go Girls! Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds is a diversity mentoring program designed to address the physical  activity, balanced eating, and positive self-image needs of girls ages 10-13. The program consists of mentoring sessions conducted within local schools or community centres. The goal of the program is for girls to develop an appreciation of the benefits of an active, healthy lifestyle and to enhance the competence, confidence and self   esteem of girls, empowering them to reach their full potential. Since the program began, over 1400 girls have participated in this program.

Never before has there been a more critical need for mentoring. The children and youth we serve are at extreme risk with the growing stress of Covid-19. Thankfully, our Mentors have been able to stay connected with their Mentees to help them cope. Through virtual and in-person programs, more than 120 girls participated this past year. Families and schools are relying on our support, and we are relying on events like these to ensure we don’t let them down.
