It’s time to STRIKE IT BIG! Let’s bowl down barriers for local kids.

April 28, May 2-3 and May 9, 2024

“BOWL FOR KIDS SAKE”  is our signature fundraiser that brings some fun, some team building and interaction across our community in support of youth mentoring programs. This year’s event is sponsored by Harvey’s Home Heating! All of the money generated supports programming for local youth. This year’s campaign is happening at Holiday Lanes on April 28th, May 2nd-3rd and 9th. Dust off your bowling shoes and plan to join us.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

Each year our agency has to raise 100% of the revenue we require to support local youth facing adversity.  The funds raised are crucial as the need for our mentoring programs increases. Every dollar helps us connect more youth in developmental relationships. It’s also an opportunity for your company to participate in a FUN team morale builder and a way for employees to connect with each other  in an activity for a good cause. Connectedness to community is vital to our well-being and productiveness, and employees feel this when they are part of a positive initiative in the workplace.

LOCAL YOUTH NEED YOUR SUPPORT NOW, MORE THAN EVER

BBBS serves young people who face adversity AND are in need of an additional consistent and supportive Developmental Relationship.  We are facing the highest waitlist in our history with more than 190 kids waiting for a Big. A high number of youth in our programs are facing 4-6 childhood adversities like:

  • child or family member experiencing mental health concerns
  • living in unsafe neighbourhoods and/or experiencing bullying
  • parental estrangement, death or incarceration
  • child protection involvement or removal from their home

In spite of these adversities, you can help our youth thrive. Research has proven that mentored youth receive tangible impacts from being involved with a consistent, supportive developmental relationship.

Your Mission: FUN-RAISE  or SPONSOR to ignite the full potential of amazing kids!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Ready to Get started? All you need is a team of 4-6 people.
