Opening doors for kids in our community
With the right mentor, even kids who grow up facing barriers can unlock their full potential.
But right now, we have a barrier of our own. A funding gap that’s driven our waitlist higher than it’s been in twenty years.
We have 75 “Littles” enrolled and waiting for matches. We even have volunteer “Bigs” waiting to mentor them. But with no guaranteed sources of funding, we can’t facilitate the important work in the middle – the screening, training, matching, and monitoring it takes to initiate and support each match.
That’s why we’ve put out a call to businesses, organizations, and individuals across the Avalon to help.

That means 14 businesses have made a donation large enough to support getting at least one Little into their match. Will yours be next?
What does it take to open a door?
A donation starting at just $1500 is enough to initiate and support one Big & Little match for a full year. And larger donations can make an impact far beyond the life of one young person – in fact, every dollar invested in our programs returns significant value to the future of our community.
